Shape of Good Nutrition was developed to introduce children
to the Food Guide Pyramid. B.Smart’s friend TriMe Angle is a
robot whose shape resembles the Food Guide Pyramid. The
messages of the pyramid were simplified for younger children;
e.g. (eat more foods from the big spaces than the small spaces).
Good Nutrition is Everyone's Ballgame focuses on the message
that to be healthy (hit a home run) you need to eat foods from
each of the food groups. Each base presents a basic food group.
Good Nutrition Travels Far focuses on willingness to try new
foods, including foods from other cultures. It was developed to
give providers a way to talk with the children about cultural diversity as well as similarities and differences in cultural food choices.
Good Nutrition Round Up uses a western theme to encourage children to consume a variety of foods to balance their diet. B.Smart, Tri-Me-Angle (the food guide pyramid robot), and the children go on a "round up" for a variety of healthy foods to eat that will provide them with a balanced diet.
