Pink Eye
This is to notify you that there has been an outbreak of pink eye (conjunctivitis) in our child care.

Symptoms:
Symptoms to look for in your child are redness, pain, swelling or itching of the eyelids and/or the eyeball, more tears than usual, yellow or green drainage from the eye that may dry into crust.

Actions:
If your child contracts this illness, keep their eyes clean by washing with a clean, warm washcloth, wash from the inner corner to the outer corner. Keep your own hands clean by washing after contact. Antibiotic eye drops or ointment may be prescribed. Apply as directed. Children with pink eye should be excluded from daycare until 24 hours after starting antibiotic treatment or if no antibiotics then after they have no drainage.

Thank you for your support. By working together we can keep all our children healthy.
