Common Cold
This is to notify you that there has been an outbreak of colds in our child care.

Symptoms:
Symptoms to look for are runny nose, sneezing, chills, tiredness, fever, muscle aches, sore throat and cough which may last for two to seven days,

Actions:
If your child comes down with a cold make sure that they wash their hands with soap and warm running water after coughing or sneezing. Use disposable tissues when coughing or sneezing or sneeze/cough into their sleeve. Medication may be given to treat symptoms. Your child should not come to daycare if they have a fever until 24 hours after the fever is gone or if they feel so sick that they cannot participate in normal activities.
