Pin Worm
This is to notify you that a case of pinworms has occurred in our child care.

Symptoms:
Symptoms to look for in your child are anal or vaginal itching or soreness. There may also be sleeplessness and irritability at night. Pinworms can be seen in the anal and buttocks area or on stool especially at night or early morning. A pinworm is a white, very thin worm about 1/4 inch long that moves.

Actions:
If your child contracts pinworms a doctor should be seen and medicine given as prescribed. A child should be bathed daily using a clean washcloth and towel followed by a change of clean underclothes. Bedding, towels and clothing should be changed and washed daily in hot water. Keep your child’s nails short and hands washed. A child with pinworms should be excluded from daycare until 24 hours after treatment has started.

Thank you for your support. By working together we can keep all our children healthy.
