Chicken Noodle Soup

Homemade soup made easy!
  • 6 c. fat free chicken broth
  • generous dash of pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. sliced carrot(s)
  • 1 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. egg noodles
  • 2 c. cubed cooked chicken
Mix broth, generous dash of pepper, carrot, and celery in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir in noodles and chicken. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until noodles are done.
Yield: 6 servings
Serving Size: 1/6 of soup is a 1.5 oz meat/ meat alternate, 1/4 cup vegetable and a 0.5 oz grain for a 3 - 5 year old at lunch/supper.
