Baked Bananas

Baked bananas are a nice sweet change!
  • 6 banana(s)
  • 2 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel bananas and half them lengthwise. Arrange bananas in 1 layer in a greased 9 x 9x 2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the lemon juice and brush with margarine; sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake uncovered for about 15 minutes, turning the bananas once about half-way through the cooking.
Yield: 12 banana halves
Serving Size: 2 banana halves is a 1/2 cup fruit for a 3-5 year old at breakfast/snack. One banana half is a 1/4 cup fruit for lunch/dinner.
